Hello, I am trying to identify the manufacturer, make a model of a knife that was used as a prop in a movie. The movie is Blade Runner 2049 and the knife is the one used by the character Luv. (Image below). I know that Scott Richter also made a custom knife for the movie, but that was used by another character and I understand he did not make this one. Any information / direction / suggestions are appreciated.

Propmaster talks about them in this video. He seems to indicate that all of the knives used in the film are from the same maker, so it's likely that Scott made that one if we can confirm that he made one at all. Though it also sounds like it was someone else's design that he brought life to.

That handle would eat your hand in real use .

Ah but if you were an augmented Replicant like Luv you could use it just fine. Ironically, I was listening to Sea Wall from the 2049 soundtrack when I read this post. This knife really calls to mind the styling of a Brous Blades Enforcer, particularly in the artistry of the handle.

Thanks for your reply and the information... and the video.

I have that soundtrack album myself, and the Sea Wall track is probably my favorite... or Tears in Rain account nostalgia!

I listened to the video and I took it to mean two different manufacturers, and I saw a quote somewhere to that effect. Anyway, I've found it (I think). Ran across someone selling a prop copy for $299 on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/listing/559024614/blade-runner-2049-luv-knife-prop-11?ref=related-4), And they reference a "Ronald Best" as the original prop maker... Sure enough, there is an Arizona knife maker named Ronald Best who makes custom knives in the $2K to $10K+ range and looking at the site "Knife Treasures" for some of his stuff, ran across the below image: Looks very similar, no? Not something your average fan could afford, but, mystery solved.
