Recently my friend bought a 15" Sirupati through me. Aunt Yangdu sent him a beautiful black & gray horn handle one.

My friend likes it very much. Then it starts the Q&A drag on session between him and me, plus few other friends who saw the Khukuri. Some of the questions could be answered by referring to this forums, HI website and the FAQ website. Anyhow I just couldn't tell him the confirmed name of the Kami who built that Khukuri.

I have checked the HI website and I just couldn't come out with a definite name of the Kami who built it. It is written in HI website that Kami mark of half sun is used by Sher Bahadur Bhiswakarma.

full sun (pre-2002) OR half sun (post-2002) AND/OR roman initials 'S.B.'

Anyhow it seems there are two Kami marks on the Khukuri. Is that 15" Sirupati was actually made by Sher?

Kindly help me get the answer ;)

I only see one kami mark on that blade, mohd.
It looks to be the mark of Sher Kami.
The top two marks should be the Kami's initials in Devangari.
The 4-pointed sun designates it as made by H.I. knifemakers
A closeup of the initials is needed to confirm, although i am about 90 precent sure.

Was it this one from the anniversary sale of 1/24?
(which is still not marked sold)

18 inch 25 ounce Sirupati by Sher. Black/gray horn handle. $75.

Without even looking at the mark it's a Sher for sure. He normally does thicker/wider blades then the other kamis, which is why his weight tends to be more then the others. Looks like a fine kukri, and chance of some pics in use? :)

Nope! It is from the regular offering. My friend preferred the 15 incher

I guess it will be some times before my friend put the Siru in real use :D He hasn't pass the fondling phase yet :D

And lots of thanks to Aunt Yangdu for sending that beautiful Siru to my friend!

Nice pictures, SHER KAMI made this Khukuri

Sher is one of the best! I have four of his knives, and all are fantastic. He was having some medical problems a few weeks ago; I hope he's doing better.
