I picked this blade up about 15 years ago and recently moved and I’m finding all kinds of stuff that I had in storage. The maker does not seem familiar to me nor can I find anything on it. If anyone can shed some light my understanding is that there are a few experts here.

No clue, but it looks like a decent quality knife. Blade appears to be relatively thin, possibly a saw blade in a previous life? I'm not familiar with that maker's mark, but the stamp would seem to indicate at least some production volume.
My first guess as to origin would probably be northeastern Mexico, second would be Argentina. Good luck in your search!
