I bought a Buck 303 (2004) at an auction today. On the blade (see pictures) it has Last Production Year El Cajon, CA
On the opposite side of the blade is DY NAVAJO.
I need to know what the DY NAVAJO stands for. I know what I want it to mean but not sure.
I would also like at approximate value as I cannot find this knife in the 2004 catalog or price list.
Thanks for any help,

I'm betting you want it to mean "David Yellowhorse", but alas, that is not the case. It actually is Dorris Yazzie who used to work for David Yellowhorse before she started out on her own about 15 years ago. The reason that you cannot find it in the Buck catalog is because it is not a Buck offering; it is an aftermarket modification. While the workmanship is good, the prices for her knives are no where near what David's go for; I would estimate somewhere around fifty dollars.

Interesting, I didn't think talking about "value" was allowed on here? Or does it depend on who is doing it?

It is permitted if the one who poses the question about "value" is a Gold Member or above, so, in answer to your question, yes, it does depend on who is doing it!!

Hey, how did you know what I was hoping? I appreciate the info as it is a great help. However, I must admit I am disappointed with the news that is was not the other real "D.Y.
