Im looking at buying a Bear OPS Constant II CC-500-B4-B Knife Survival Fixed Blade for an all around hard use/work , hunting, and everything else knife. do any of you have any experience with it? is there any better choices for around the same price? i really like the look of the knife. how does it compare to like the benchmade bushcrafter. i'm wanting something that can take a lot of abuse, won't chip, that i can hand sharpen the edge damage out somewhat easy, and holds a pretty decent edge. and is there a better option than 1095 steel? I really appreciate any help i can get!

1095 is a decent steel, but all steels are decent in the right setting. TOPS makes a number of knives in that price range, and Schrade actually makes quite a few high-quality low-priced fixed blades as well. Both are on BladeHQ as well.

I'm afraid, however, that's all I have for you. My fixed-blade knowledge is quite limited.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate the help I completely forgot about TOPS.
