Need help transporting a dog from llinois to Las Vegas, So Cal, or even Phoenix?

I have an opportunity to add a beautiful young Lhasa Apso bitch to my pack. Her registered name is Midnight Confession, but her call name is "Whisper." She is apsolutely gorgeous! She is 7 months old and is in Macomb, Illinois. Because of the extreme heat, airlines won't fly many short muzzled dogs in cargo for health reasons from June - September.

I am hoping that maybe someone might be traveling to Las Vegas on Vacation, etc., who might be willing to let Whisper tag along. She can also fly in-cabin, under the seat in front. I have an airline approved carryon crate.

Anybody have any ideas? Is there anyone traveling from Illinois to Oklahoma - Tulsa area? I have family flying from Tulsa in July to where I am, but would need to get Whisper to Arkansas or Oklahoma.

Never mind! It turns out that my sister, who lives in Illinois, is flying out for our family reunion in July, and she said she will fly the dog in-cabin with her. Yippee!!!!

Another Munchkin to love.

I suppose it is fitting - I'm more of a Bitch than I am a Pussy. :D

Does she understand Spanish? "Whisper whisper" is "cuchi cuchi" in Spanish, repeated words in a song Charo made famous....

Well, as Whisper lives in Illinois, I don't know how much exposure she has had to Charo and her "cucci cucci" moves. But I'll work on it with Whisper when she gets here!!
 
I was going to suggest Pet Airlines. They ONLY transport animals. I am glad that everything worked out.

Thanks. I had previously read about Pet Airlines when they started up, and was considering looking into them. I just made the reservation a few hours ago for my new puppy to fly with my sister. Yippee!!
 
I know a guy named Clark Griswald who is coming out that way on vacation soon, and says he has experience transporting dogs.
 
You're probably going to keep getting answers for as long as Bladeforums exists -- unless you spoil the fun by editing the title. :)
