Need help valueing stamps .

A buddy of a buddy(buddy once removed ?) of mine sent me some silk thread from Hong Kong . All I had to do was pay postage . It arrived with enough stamps on it that they could have comprised the package their ownselves . . $45:60 . Augh!!!!! L:O:L
Please tell me these are some kinda hong Kong dollars . Its very good thread . Its not that good .

Thanks Andrew . I went to the post office and they were mystified as to how I would find out . I figured they would see the stamps a lot more than I would . I guess it depends how interested they are in their job .
