Does anyone have a side-by-side pic of these two? I was thinking the blades were 6" but I have come accross one to buy of the SFNO and the seller says it has a 7" blade. I've tried searching for differences but haven't been very successful.

Thanks.

Even though I am a realtive newby, I am going to go out on a limb and try to answer your question. What I believe is that the NO and the SFNO are the same knife, only the Special Forces Natural Outlaw has a different handle than the regular NO.

Well that is the best I can do. If I am wrong my sincere apologies.

Redsnake,

I don't have a side by side photo but can tell you that the seller is correct.
The SFNO has a 7 Inch Sabre ground blade of .220 thickness.
The exception is the HOSFNO which is .270 thick.
The NO-E has a 6 inch flat ground blade of .250 thickness.
The exception to this is the ZTNO which is .1875 thick.

My preference is the SFNO which fits my hand better.
Many here would say otherwise and say they prefer the NO-E.
Both are great knives and would easily sell if you didn't like it.

What was the name and # of the seller. I'd like to call him and give him a piece of my mind for trying to pull one over on you. Damn these people for trying to take advantage of guys trying to get a decent knife! ;)

HA HA... I'll be sure and post a coupl'a pics when I get the like-new Busse and sheaths. :p I'll also be sure and post the price. :D

The SFNO is also much wider than the NO-E, I believe.

The E handle is wider but the palm swells on the SF Magnum handles fill the hand very well. The SF handle, for me, is very secure in all grips but still is not uncomfortable for prolonged use. It is my favourite!

The major difference between these blades is they are from two different generations.

The NO-E "evolved" into the SFNO.

SF is the handle designation but their are other differences as well.

Here is the closest I can do to a side-by-side pic without having a NO-E.

This is a SFNO (Note longer/wider blade, different pommel, different micarta scales)

Here is a NO-E (from badmojo)
