I have a polished stainless tomahawk head made by John Horrigan of Elite Knives. It was passed down to me by my father. Im trying to research a few things about it.

First off, What might this piece be worth? Its been stored in a box wrapped in a cloth. There is some very minor pitting starting to develop in some spots.

There is no handle currently and I am interested in having one made for it but dont know where to look. Also what might that cost?

I live in Portland Oregon and dont know any good knife makers in the area who do custom work. I am planning on attending the Eugene Knife show this Spring.

Any help would be appreciated!

He's seems to be still working. Google will give you an email address, just ask him. Under the rules of blade forums you can't ask for values unless you upgrade to a paid membership. I'm sure the maker can tell you about value.

Niceguy think about ordering a handle and fitting it yourself. Takes very few tools and it isn't that that hard.

Nice guy

She'd run you about 150.00 plus shipping. That'll also include a custom sheath for her.

OP said there is minor pitting starting to show on the hawk but also states its made of stainless? I know it could happen depending on a number of factors, but it seems unlikely if it was stored as described. Could the OP be mistaken and its not made of stainless after all?
