The girlfriend decided she wants a knife for valentines day, a pink one. I wanna buy her something that'll work for a girl that lives in town and be 20 bucks and under shipped, as i'm low on funds but i won't buy crap for her.

$20? Man, that's a low number. Spyderco has a few Pink Knives. Benchmade has a pink Mini Grip..... but not for $20.

My gf loves her pink mini grip.

Looks like she won't be getting a pink knife then. ;)

$20 aint gonna do it buddy. You might as well buy a gas station knife for that.

I bought my ex a Benchmade Griptillian in pink. I would recommend those because they're easy to hold, she dug the pink, it benefited Breast Cancer, and because of the Axis-lock, it was easy to open and close (something I find most women lacking the dexterity in).

How about a pink Kershaw D.W.O? They're about $15 bucks shipped on eBay.

Not $20, but if you decide to bump up your budget a little you could get her a pink Leek

Kershawguy has pink blem Leek for $25. It's worth the extra $5, this is what I got my knife. Also got her a pink Chive, but she prefers the Leek.

Thanks to the people that were helpfull, and suggested great knives under 20, i'm going with the SAK classic.

I agree. I can think of several great contenders for all but your monetary restriction. And PLEASE if you must drop a restriction, do NOT let it be the one that states you will not buy crap!

edit to add.

I guess you are going with the SAK Classic. Not crap, but also not much of a knife (I was thinking more of a medium duty knife). I hope she enjoys it.

I agree, but the most she would over do with it is open light pakaging, otherwise she would use it one her nails, she was just telling me she hates fumbling with 30 different nail tools, you can clean with the blade, push back cuticles with the top of the file, file with the file, and trim with the sciccors, perfect for her.

If you'd like to stay around $20 go with a Victorinox SAK (Swiss army knife). They have some cool scales that you can buy for around $4 a piece. Ruby red (translucent red) is cool and would probably appeal to the gf. I'd skip the Valentines day dinner and grab her a mini griptilian with pink G10, flowers and a home made meal!

Pink Chives are under $40.

Pink SAK from Wallymart.

I think the OP has got it nailed(no pun intended). In my experience my wife would think a pink awabi shell GEC knife is the same as the Vic Classic that I got used off ebuy. She likes it so much she got me to buy a load of them to give as Xmas presents.Spending a lot won't equate to more brownie points with most women-its the thought that counts.
