Need help with a knife i found.

Hi everyone sorry if this is the wrong area to put this in but i found this knife in a property i recently cleared out (i do house clearances) and im just after any infomation i can get regarding the knife in question.

Looks like this gentleman owned it at one point and had his name engraved on it:

Also, the knife itself, based on the tang stamps, was made iby J. Rodgers and Sons in Sheffield, England. That looks to be a British Navy issue knife. I am assuming it was made in 1939.
