Hey guys I really need help with this old puma my grandfather wants me to sharpen for him. This is a great knife and the blade steel is super hard. Here is a link to a new one. White Hunter
I believe it was purchased around '75, anyway I cleaned it up and resewed the end of the sheath where the blade was coming through. Polished most of the brass parts. Anyway I've been trying to sharpen this knife. I've sharpened it from where it was. I just cant seem to get it shaving sharp. I've been working on the sharpmaker with it. I tried my paper wheels that I just got sunday, and I couldnt make it any sharper. I'm brand new at the paper wheels though so I think the blade shape has cause me some problems. Anyway what do you guys think I could do to make it sharper. Oh i've been using the corners of the sharpmaker because of the blade shape.
Heres a pic of his,
