Anybody know what ratio (by volume) I need to mix these pellets with acetone?

I've seen it written as 1 lb. Acetone + 1/2 lb. B-72

However, I don't have a scale with me and need to use volumetric measurements instead.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Dan

p.s. (I'm kinda right in the middle of it now....sorry:D)

Dan,

I just measured some (gotta clean up the kitchen now).

1/2lb of B72 (with my beads) is about 1 1/3 cups.

The toluene was about 2/3rds to 3/4 of a 1 quart mason jar. Acetone might be less dense. But probably not enough to matter.

I tried 20%, 30%, and 40%. I'd have to say for me I like 30% best. However, the results weren't a lot different. So, try 1 1/3 cups of B72 and 3 cups of acetone. That should be a good starting point.

Steve

PS as I posted before, this stuff works, but it doesn't make a hard, acrylic product. It seems to just stabilize. You'll still need some kinda finish. I'm testing those out right now.

Please let me know how it comes out.
