I'm looking for advice on a couple of case medium stockman patterns, if they even exist. If you can help please let me know. Just looking for a good knife for EDC. Ideally, of course, I'd like everything in stag, and CV, but I'll take what I can get.

3 1/4" Overall length, with Spey blade. Preferable with rounded bolsters. If any exist with 3 springs, I'd be interested to know.

3 5/8" overall length, with spey blade, round bolsters, and 3 springs. Do they exist?

thanks

The Case Stag Rancher series is the only one I know of that will fit your criteria other than the 3 springs part. Buck is the only one I know of making production 3 spring stockmans and they don't use carbon steel. Check out the Case 68132 although it might be closer to 4".

Here is a link to the Case site. There are like 10 pages but only the first 6 or 7 knives have CV steel. http://www.wrcase.com/sidesearch/index.php?s=0&q=stag rancher&material=

how about a 3 1/4" with just 2 springs? I'm open to other handles too.
thanks

IF anyone else had the question about current Case stockman w/3 springs, it's pattern # 6347 in 3 & 7/8" length. ;)

Case 6344 is 3 1/4" with 2 springs. It's available in both CV and Stainless steels. I have one and it's a nice little knife.

Here's a really bad photo of it:

Here is another bad photo comparing the 6344 with the 63087, both Medium Stockman patterns (Case has fully 5 patterns they call "Medium Stockman"), with the 6344 on top.

The 6344 is a squared-bolster serpentine frame, the little brother of the Case 63032 Medium Stockman. It's a great light carry. It's about the same size as a Buck 303, but the Buck is beefier and thicker (being on a 3-spring frame).
