Hi,
I'm searching for a high quality crossbow, which will be used for target shooting only. It should have a high power but must also be very precise. The price shouldn't be over $300 (if it would be less, it's ok too.;) )
Can you help me to find the right model, tell own experiences about different models and companys and/or tell me where I can buy one for a good price.

Thank you very much and best regards,

Jochen

Thanks for your answers! I don't want a toy, so it should have a goood draw, let say about 150 lbs. I'm very interessted in a GreatLakes Sierra, but I haven't seen much of them and in Germany they are so horrible expensive that I can't afford it. So I thought of buying a Barnett. Are they good too?

@armlessbandit: Do you have a link to a homepage, because I couldn't find anything searching google.

Hi 1981

Listen to what Andy says....

Excalibur makes the Absolute finest crossbows money can buy..
I'm not sure what Andy shoots, I'll venture to say an Exomag though. I myself shoot an Exocet and a three arrow group, all arrows are touching. I've purposefully kept the bow a little less accurate so that I don't destroy any more arrows.. Robin Hoods with Excalibur bows are Very common place...

The Bow you are looking for is call the Paradox. If this is out of range for you, the Vixen or Exocet should do the job just fine.

These bow are simple recurve limbs, No wheels, nothing to go wrong...

Hope that helps...

The link above for Excalibur is incorrect. The correct link is here. The addition of the "s" drops you on a cyber-squatter page with lots of nice pop up windows and an attempt at changing your homepage...just fyi.

Hi,
thank you for your answers!! I checked the Excalibur homepage and was shocked by the prices. I thought about $300, not $600. So I decided not to buy an excalibur, but an Barnett Rhino Sport Magnum Kit, which I saw in ebay for $ 245. I think that this one is ok for me, because I never shot crossbow and thats more trying how it works and if it's fun for me. I think if I'd like do this more professional I can buy an excalibur then.
Anyway, thanx again for your hints,
Jochen

And this is my new "toy" (just witout the scope):

Hey 1981...

Remember those are Canadian prices,, and they are also SRP not always the actual cost..If you buy one from a dealer it could be cheaper...

Nice bow BTW..
