Need help with flap over ID

Probably a 105 sheath. At one time all the 100 fixed blade series had flap sheaths...Also a 117 is just a small 119...

It looks like a sheath for a model 121. What make you think this was for the 119?

n2s

105 and 121 sheaths are way narrower. A 121 will almost fit in this sheath, in the 121 sheath.

Lets rephrase the question. Does anyone know when they started marking sheaths with model numbers? maybe its a 102 sheath.;)

The newest 119 fits in the sheath but the flap won't close. Could be the guard won't let it go down far enough. Thanks for that pic Bucklife.

This can be laid to rest. This is a 75th S30V 119. Fits just fine. My 2 and 3 line's didn't. I imagine it's a fairly hard to find sheath.

I understand how the sheath was probably parted from the knife. When I got it I tried to put a 119 in it and it wouldn't go at all. There was a ancient child's, (maybe dolls) hairbrush stuck it the bottom of the sheath. I can just see some little girl all proud of her holstered hairbrush.

I can’t get any of my newer 119s to fit my old sheaths the guard is to big . Glad you figured it and found a use for it kossetx

kosse, you're welcome. That's strange how the same model knives and their sheaths have changed over the years. Well, 55 years has past... DM

LOL!

Great story.

We can all relax now.

:D

The flap over sheaths started being used in late 1964. In 1967 Buck began to market knives in Canada and the USA was added to the stamp.
When this occurred model numbers appeared on the sheaths. DM
So then I assume that a flap over sheath without the model number would be appropriate for any knife without a model number, one line or two line, between 1964 and 1968.
