Hello all--
I've been making for a few years, but I have moved to a townhouse and had to leave my forge in storage-- I just don't have room for it in the small garage here. I have 5 kitchen knives from Aldo's 1084 that need hting. Does anybody know of a company that will hardens high carbon? I know texas knife does hting, but they only do air quenched.

If there isn't a company, does any other maker do this kind of thing? I will pay shipping both ways and reimburse for time spent.

Thanks,
Jake

Peter's Heat Treating does 1084. You want to send them batches and not individual knives. 5 knives will cost you $72. 20 pounds of knives will cost you $72. Shipping is additional.

Contact TruGrit. They have a guy that does heat treat. The probably can hook you up.

Contact Delbert Ealy here on the forums. He used to do carbon blades for makers.not sure if he still does.
