Need help with Hinderer

I have an Eklipse that lost a handle screw. Contacted Rob at Hinderer and sent me a replacement. While waiting for it I was checking that the rest of the screws were tight and descovered that a previous owner had buggered the heads of all the screws so I ordered a full set.

This had been a good flipper, maybe even great for a Hinderer. When I got the screws I took it apart to clean and lube it. It went back together fine, blade is centered and lockup is fine. Problem is no matter how loose I adjust the pivot it feels like it is too tight and the knife is difficult to flip without wrist action. It doesn't feel gritty or dry just like it's a little too tight. I can even loosen the pivot to the point that I can slide it back and forth and there is still tension on the blade that doesn't allow it to pivot freely. Anyone got any ideas?

Try loosening the screws on the topmost standoff a little and see if things free up. Other than that, check if the washers went in facing the same way as before. Good luck!

Tried loosening the screws but didn't help. Will have to look at washers. It is starting to free up almost like it is breaking in all over again. I can flip it now without wrist action.

Glad to hear. Probably flipped one or both of the washers. Like you said, just needs a re-break in.
I watched a video where a guy was extremely anal in disassembly/reassembly of his XM. Every standoff, screw, etc. went on exactly in the same spot it came off, just clean and lubricated (if applicable). This guarantees no surprises upon reassembly.

most shaws don't like oil, my shallot wont flip if you oil it at all. I found if I used a Teflon based spray it worked fine.
