Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and would like to open up my posts by asking for your help. I need help in identifying this Swiss Army Style Knife. The owner told me it was a Dutch AMEFA knife but it turns out it is not. I believe it to be German, and I am not sure if it is Military or not.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

You might also try the Bernard Levine subforum. He's pretty good at identifying old obscure knives.

Thanks for the feedback Pilsner, and will do... C-ya
BTW, I think that knife is fascinating! I just don’t know anything about it. :)

I was hoping one our scholarly brethren would chime in, and it isn’t even my knife!

Thanks much Pilsner! I agree, and that makes two of us...lol

Well, maybe they are all just busy this week. We will see what happens. If I find anything out I will post it.

Thanks again for your kindness..:)

Like said, you might get better response at traditional knives subforum because this lands more towards old pocket knives than multitools. Good luck!

Hey AL, thank you and I will do that, just have not had time to look at what you guys are referring to. As I said I am new here and just starting to get my bearings around this HUGE forum.

One question if I may, do I just start a duplicate thread there, or refer to this one? I don't want to break any rules, as a newbie that would not be good..:(

Thanks,
Jeff

Starting a bunch of threads in different places on the same subject is generally frowned upon, but there really isn't a hard and fast rule. My opinion, for whatever it may be worth, is that you should click on the menu icon at the bottom of your original post, then hit Report and ask to have your thread moved.
