I bought this knife at an auction last year and am interested in it's origins. I tried researching online but I can't seem to match this up with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there mate, khukuri manufacturere here.
Unfortunately I can't shed too much light on the situation but it's definitely an interesting knife.
This knife is definitely newer than 1950, with my bet being that it's from the mid 70's to mid 90's. The hollow forging on the blade, the profile as well as the bigger more complex companion knife and the style of raw rubbed, village leather used on the sheath shows that whoever made it put in a bit of effort. These signs point to it being nepalese made, however the Cho and engraving are both extremely strange and nontraditional though and to me point towards this being a tourist piece, potentially even from india rather than Nepal. The engraving in particular looks like it was done with a machine which is very unusual and may have even been done long after it was made. Following that same line of thought the cho may also have been modified after manufacture as well. Speculation aside I would say this is most likely a tourist piece of reasonable quality, but not much historical or financial value.
Take care,

Thank you so much for the reply!! I knew nothing about it but thought it was a cool knife and it went fairly cheap. Thanks for all of the info. I appreciate it.
