Hello,

got a question...
For those times when you just wanna wipe down your blade because it's acquired a little too much gunk on it, or if you've neglected it a little too long and beginnings of rust(!!!) show up... what do you use? Right now the best thing i've got is Hoppes #9 Nitro Solvent for the guns, I don't think this is the best choice but it seems to work to some degree.

Please note, i'm not interested in throwing all kinds of weird rust inhibiting crap onto my knives, I just want a generic "wipe the dirt/rust off" solvent.

Hi,

I soak the blade in Mineral oil for a while, and then pick the spot's off with a dental pick to preserve the original finish. The best thing for a large area of rust, metal-glo, etc..., might be best. After your done, a few more drop's of mineral oil, and your good to go:) .

Hope this help's:D !!!
