Lum-Tec Combat B, Luminox of similar price, or something else?

I wear a brown/tan Luminox Atacama Field (day/date) presently.

I'm open for other suggestions, keeping within a $500 margin.

I'v'e heard more horror stories from Luminox owners than happy stories (only 1 or 2 people so far).
Hands falling off, Tritium vials rolling around loose and poor warranty service.
Nite makes cool watches, as does Maratac and Lum Tec.
 
I had an older luminox, 98 or so.
Best watch ive ever had, never had an issue, except batteries every few years.

Buddy of mine bought one in 07, 08 and had nothing but issues, hands, viles and shit CS.

Mine finally got dropped to many times and died (2013), boxxed it up to send in and forgot about it for a year or so and when i finally got around to it, last year, could hardly see the tritium
Bought an SW, instead. Should have got the traser, the SW is an anker. Keeps good time to, and you can see it.
