Hey guys.. Is it normal for the torsion bar in a Kershaw blur to klink around when the knife is open... Very minimal.. But notice if i shake the knife... I did oil up the knife a little with rem-oil.. and that did not stop it... Any info would be appreciated...
BTW.. Its a SG2 blur... And i have to say... HOLY HECK! Amazing blade... Unbelievable grind... Very thin.... Looks to be hollow and hell it can slice through anything...
A review to come soon with some pics...
Matt

Yup it's fine in a blur, a lot of my blurs did that, and I actually think that the ones that rattle have a faster speedsafe  but that's just me, YMMV.

Still have to check out one of those SG2 blurs

I figured its normal... I have had others that did it also... Dont bother me one bit... But im just looking for a remedy possibly.... No biggie....

Yes you do need to check out the SG2.... Its sick... I will post some pics when i start a review thread.... I got this one from my good friend on here... "ROB"..... Great knife for the price/value ratio....

if you use militec-1 either in grease form or some other grease in the torsion bar chamber it stops that rattle :)

So then... I would need to just take it apart correct.... I have white lightning grease also... That would be even thicker to stop the rattle..... So do i take it apart first?
Thanks
Matt

I open lots of kershaws.
true or not, i think less "stuff" in there might help keep it opening fastest. The rattling is normal, and anything you add would only temporarily stop it and might even impair slightly. imho

Matt, the other Matt is correct. Just a little dab of any type of grease (I use white grease because it's cheap) will work. Just put it right on the torsion bar when the blade is open. Put it back together, close it up, and the rattle should be gone!

Love that SG2!

We've got ZDP Shallots coming out, and you're still buzzing around about SG2?

So yesterday, dude! :D:D:D

And to directly answer your question: "not at this time". Have you noticed that this has changed from "never"? What's ol SPX up to?
