Need help with my KMG grinder

After using my Coote for 8+ yrs and mastering it's little quirks now it is time to start again.
Anybody out there have some Tips and Tricks for getting the most out of my KMG?
Trying to put an edge on a blade with little success so far...

Thanks to Mr Caffery great review and far as I can see so far he is dead on in his conclusions.
