this is one of my favorite folders, but it seems to be developing some vertical play. Just slightly. Probably just as much play as a buck 110 out of the box. J/W, do folders always develop a little vertical play? Lock up is solid otherwise...no horz. play at all. I've had the mtn. man for a while, and the release mechanism has always been stiff.

Any other mtn. man owners care to share their experience with this knife?

This shows up in some #3L Queen mountain man folders, send it to Queen and they will take care of it.

Not sure where you buy your Buck 110's, but it's very rare for them to have any blade play new.

Mine (the Queen MM) did the same thing. I didn't send it back however. I just covered the bolsters with a Terry cloth, and rapped it with rubber dead blow hammer a few times. Blade play gone. Didn't come back either.

Your best bet like TLC mentioned is to send it back. Queen is a good company and will take care of you.

The MM is a great knife and worth the trouble to send it back.

Last 110 I bought was from Dick's Sporting goods. Then I bought one for my bro in law...I didn't check the play on it...could have just been an isolated case.

I'll probably send it back to queen. Thanks for the advice guys.
