Hello All,
Does anyone out there remember a song from the late 1960's or early 1970's about the Deacon clan. I remember hearing it as a child growing up and am trying to find it on Itunes, but I don't know the exact title or group. It would have been considered country at the time. It's about a man who stands up to a road construction crew and dies, but his children take on the dozer crew. I know the last line goes " There's sugar in the gas tanks of the dozers in the woods and the cold gray eyes of the Deacon clan stare out into the night". Any help is much appreciated.

It's not so obscure, and I couldn't find Hank Sr.'s version on youtube(no surprise, it's about 100 years old), but this is worth a listen.
