I have 2 old Coleman lanterns with problems.
First is a 1984 290 CLX adjustable that I have had for 25 years. Went camping over the weekend and it didn't pump up....probably just the pump cup, but after taking it out and oiling it, it will pump enough to light just a little but not hold good pressure..........
Lantern 2 is a 1971 200f that I have come across at a flea market.................Pump cup is also bad, BUT the pump cup that will not work in lantern 1 will pump up this lantern with plenty of pressure so that makes me wonder if the first lantern has more problems than the pump cup?
Other than that the Cleaner tip stem on the 200f is stuck and will not budge. I have it taken out and soaking in some carb cleaner. Other than that, the 200f is working great, holding pressure and lighting fine. Any tips on tip cleaner stems?
I've just kind of gotten interested in older lanterns and don't know much.
