Hello everyone,

I finally got my Rc-6 in and it looks like a great knife so far, but before I can test it out too much I can already tell that the issue sheath is not gonna work for me - it rides way to high on the belt.

Does anyone have a line on a sheath that would be lower such that the top of the handle is at belt level, sort of like a h `olster? Then I could tie the end down on the thigh for stability.

Help please - I cant have this thing sticking me in the ribs!

Thanks in advance....

i had the same issue, the thing to do is get either the molle back from esee which is awesome, or the belt clip which also lowers the ride of the knife. but the molle back is the best, especially when you add the pouch.
take a look at the seconds on the molle stuff, great quality and a good price.

take it easy

I've got one with the complete cordura molle sheath/pouch and one with the standard sheath and clip plate. They both have their pros and cons so it really depends on the need. I like the quick use of the clip plate and it does hang the butt down at the belt but I don't have the pouch. At the same time I like the cordura molle sheath/pouch but the lower of the dual retaining straps seems to get in the way.

I like the looks of the molle rc5 and rc6 and the separate pouch option but they seem a little expensive.

The molle back is the hands down best way to carry this knife for me. I do keep a spare sheath with a clip plate though. Both are very good, simple options.

The Spec-Ops sheaths fit the RC6 great. They ride nice and low. The pommel of the knife rides at about the top of my belt. I'd recommend a leg strap to keep it from flopping around too much.

Leatherman makes some awesome sheaths:D

Can't let TTD have all the fun. I 86'd the tins on mine, stuffed in a RAT firekit, a pocket chainsaw, SAK, and small LED lights into each.

I had the same issue. I attached the belt clip back to mine (available from ESEE Cutlery). That did the trick.

Then I found a deal on Spec-Ops sheaths and the short one fit it perfectly.

So now I have two options.

Thanks for the help- great options. Think Ill look into the spec ops or belt clip. Does the molle back work with a belt? Thanks again everyone.

Hey TexasTony, sorry to quote this large group of photos, I am just wondering if those are the RC-5 scales on the RC-6 blade there?

Thanks, Dan.

Guys, can anyone please post a pic of the Molle Back & Pouch with the ESEE-6 on the belt? I want to have a better idea of how low it rides.
Thanks!
