I recently bought this knife and I have found out that it is extremely hard to open. It is an assisted opener with a thumb stud on the back that opens it as well as the one on the blade. Neither of the two options to open it are easy and after a few times leave my fingers hurting. I've tried loosening the screw just a bit and it does not help at all. In all of the video reviews on this knife it looked very easy to open and the one I got is definitely not. I would just like to know if there is a way to make it easier on my fingers or will it just loosen up over time.

Thanks,
rucka

I think I'd send it back. The one I received was a fast opener right out of the box.

So fast, in fact, that my father commented that I might not want to be caught carrying that thing around.

I didn't really want to debate the finer points of the definition of "switchblade" with him, but at the same time I don't want to debate it with a local constable, either.

Well I watched alot of reviews on this knife and all of them seemed like they opened very easily. There is no doubt that it opens very quickly but its just not the easiest to get it going. I'd really hate to have to send it back. Was the one you recieved easy to open? Like when pushing the button on the back of it the button wasn't very resistive at all?
