Hello all,
I am looking to have a sheath made for a 9 inch CRK Jereboam sawteeth model knife. I am looking for a sheathmaker that can do the sheath withn a large pouch or pouches on the front for holding redundant survival gear, for an extended stay in the woods. I have checked at Sigmans site, his backlog is long, and places like eagle or blackhawk wont or cant do it. Any ideas?
please post or email me @
panzer075@nycap.rr.com
BTW I prefer kydex or cordura, or both if possible.
thanks,
Chris

Thanks for all the responses.
Nick does this Semper Paratus have a website?

Placeknives, I have looked at SPECOPS stuff, but they claim that there sheaths are made for up to 8 inch blades. Maybe they will do a custom one for 9 inch????

SurviveAl, I have been told about OKUDEN before, but all his sheaths look to be only kydex, none on his site appear to have pouches on them for extra gear. I will try contacting some of these this week.
thanks all,
Chris

Panzer,
I too have a 9 inch CRK (Shadow 1) and have wanted a survival sheath with pouches. I had a Okuden drop leg sheath for a Busse at one point and was very pleased. My plan is to have him make one for my Shadow with 2 leg straps, on each strap I will place a small pouch (cordura pager case designed for Police duty belts) Thesse are big enough for 2 Altoids tins each. There are a myriad of other pouch options, limited only by your imagination. I intend to order mine as soon as I have funds available.
Hope this helps.

P.S.
I have also dealt with Dan at Semper Paratus Tactical.( He is now the owner of my above mentioned Busse.) He seems to be another great option. He and Brian from Okuden are generaly found sharing at table at the Washington Arms Collector shows.

I almost forgot, Scott Hendryx in Idaho. He makes killer kydex drop leg sheaths with detacthable cordura pouches. The sheath is called the #1 SB and he charges around $50.00 with shipping. He advertises in Tactical Knives.

I second the Spec Ops brand. I especially like the one they made with Survival Sheath. I hold a lot of gear in it.

Another vote for Scott Hendryx in Boise 208.377.8044. He makes sheaths for the "High speed, Low drag" community and is well respected for such. I had him make one for a Mad Dog ATAK Hunter for an SF Captain who just brought it back from Afghanistan.

Eric Noeldechen at On-Scene Tactical has made his taco-wrap style Concealex sheaths with Nite-Ize pouches attached. (see pic) Those pouches should give you enough capacity to carry a fair amount of PSK gear. Besides making sturdy & trim sheaths, Eric is a heckuva nice guy to deal with.

If that doesn't float your boat, the other guys already recommended are top-notch makers who deliver very high quality work.
