I am thinking of buying a swiss army knife but I am confused between these
[Removed links to nonmember dealers]
They look pretty much same to me. Which one would be better blister, original or the huntsman(state which huntsman because there are two).
Thanks a ton.

Blister means it comes in blister package. There shouldn't be any other difference.

Welcome. The best one is the one that has the tools you want.
All of them have the same tools but still price and model no. are different. Which one would you have bought if you were me?This is my first SAK so I don't really know a lot about them.

I would go to the Victorinix site and pick out the one that has the tools I want. Then I would buy the knife from a site that labels and describes their knives correctly. The site you linked does not and I would not trust them.

BladeForum Paid Dealer members are great to buy from, if you can.

There is a very large online retailer that is reasonably reliable source for Victorinox Swiss Army knives. You can also buy then at many large "real world" stores.

They are probably the easiest knives on the planet to purchase. There is no reason to buy them from a website full of mislabeled nonsense.

The huntsman isn't available at the local store and that's the model I am interested in. Also, it is cheaper online. I am thinking of buying it from amazon. It doesn't label the knives either but I think amazon can be trusted.
I am thinking of getting one of these.

Are you in India Flint? There are numerous web stores in South Africa that will ship to you at great prices.

Yes I am in India. Can you please tell the name of those web stores. Thanks.

The huntsman is great, i personally prefer the explorer but as i said the huntsman is great too. My choice out of the ones listed would be the huntsman

Congrats. I just bought 3 used ones off the bay last week for $20. Tinker, Recruit, and I can't remember the other one. Just like the tinker but had the corkscrew instead. My first ones as well.

Spartan.

And the Tinker is a great knife, I have carried one in the city for years. I prefer the Farmer in the woods, but the Tinkers tool selection and spare small blade worked very well for me day to day.

Got my SAK. It's amazing!!!. The quality of steel is really good. Thanks for helping me out.

Huntsman was my first in the 1970s, minus the parcel hook. Perfect knife. Good choice.

I have some questions
1. Is this completely water and rust proof? Will it lose its color in water?
2. How much weight can the hook take?
3. What is the hole in the reamer used for?
4.Can any part of this knife be used as a glass breaker?

The steel is very rust resistant, but not proof. I have never done anything other than wipe casually and let them air dry when wet, and have never seen rust spots or discolouration. However, if you leave it outside for a year, it may rust.

2. How much weight can the hook take?

Sorry, no idea.

3. What is the hole in the reamer used for?

Threading, if used as a coarse needle.

4.Can any part of this knife be used as a glass breaker?

Without a specially made point, I wouldn't try. It's small enough that a solid grip means your hand is going to cover almost all of its surfaces anyway, so not much room for even the end of the spacers to make contact with glass. I wouldn't try it.

Thanks. Will the hook take around 15kg weight?BTW the reason I am asking question 4 is that a few days ago a little girl who lives next door got locked inside the house. We had to break the window to open the door. I was thinking that if I am in a situation like this, and have only my huntsman, which tool would be the best to break the glass.

A rock would work better.
