Picked up this SB axe marked Savage with a lined figure underneath. It’s old and was just under 3 pounds. It was sold as unmarked because the stamp was invisible. I found after some wire wheel action. It was still illegible so I had soak and I ended up cleaning it up. It’s very hard steel but took a fantastic edge after a lot of work.

Savage Axe

I picked up this robust little camp axe this week that appears to have some age. It’s stamp says SAVAGE and there’s some sort of symbol below savage. Anyone have any idea who made SAVAGE? Any information would be great. Thx!

Might it be related to Savage Arms? They did manufacture other things beside firearms and ammo.

Just throwing that out there, I got nothin.
