Hello, new to the forum and a knife noob but picked up a knife at a local rummage sale and really would like to know more about it.

I can't remember all the history on this particular knife, but there's a member here who can probably tell you everything you want to know.

What you need to do is click on " thread tools " and "edit thread title " , edit your title to " need help with Western knife " or something similar to make sure he sees this thread.

Only thing more I can tell you about it is that it is very cool. Nice to see there are still diamonds in the rough out there.

Good for you, man.

Looks like you scored big my friend. Don't destroy the knife trying to restore it plz.

Definately!
At the very most just clean and condition all leather with leather products, and maybe fine steel wool and mineral oil to carefully remove any light rust.

I guess it was temporarily up, but as the pics are on crapbucket, I can't see a thing.

Just have to take y'alls word for it being a G46-8.:D

That's exactly what he has, you may not be able to see it but you can sure guide him on where to look for any additional markings.
