need help with wicked edge

hey guys.so i just got my wicked edge and im trying to bridge the gap between the 1000 grit diamond stones and the 3.5/5 micron strop pack.Should i get the 14/10 strop or the super fine ceramic pack.Thanks

The ceramic stones put a very nice polish on.

I bridged the gap in the Pro Pack with the super fine ceramics and have been really happy with the stones.

Get the ceramics or just get some 1200-1600 grit wet dry sandpaper and tape it to your stones. That's what I've been doing with really good results.

You might also look into the diamond films... some users have switched to them over the ceramic/strop route, and W.E. wrote in their July Newsletter on the results of moving to diamond film directly off the 1000g stone.

p.s. (Ever figure out what the "mystery screws" were?)

I did figure it out.It keeps the arms stabilized while you sharpen.

Don't forget to lap (flatten) your ceramics before you use them. I used the method in this video.
