I was gifted a double bladed folding pocket knife. One of the blades are broken off and I'm trying to figure out any info I can because it came from my children's papa who is now deceased. When my boys are old enough and responsible enough I plan to pass it on to them. However I'm pretty clueless on how to find the info I'm looking for because Google and Google lens are not pulling up the exact knife. The remaining blade is stamped
Imperial (with a crown dotting the i)
Stainless
USA

And there is a logo type stamp of a crown inside a circle on the top part of the handle. The handle design is what I would call woodgrain but there is no actual color it's all metal.

You'll need a free image hosting site to share photos; I use Imgur.

With some good pics we should be able to help you narrow it down. :)

Go on imgur.com, take some pics, upload themthere, and then LINK that, into a comment (or edit your original post with edit button on bottom left), and the picture will show up. That will go a long way in helping identify the problem and what to do.

Is the broken blade gone? A section broken off?

Welcome to Bladeforums BrannenClanQueen. I'm sure the members here would be happy to help you identify your knife.

The others have already mentioned the pictures. So I'll ask, are there any markings or writing on the base of either of the blades? Knives often bear the mark and/or name of the manufacturer there.

Very beautiful knife, best wishes and good luck as to restoration. There are some talented and knowledgeable people here.

Well, the brand is Imperial, and it was made in Providence, RI.

I can't locate a model number or name.

Yes that's where I'm having trouble the blades are both marked imperial but the markings are different. One says imperial stainless usa the other said stainless imperial prov usa

Some of the folks here can do re-blades.
Once the model number is found though, might be able to get another version of the same knife and do a blade-swap, though this would take some help from a person with that ability, I'd imagine.

Oh, don't do anything to the knife like polishing. Once one of our knife-makers looks at it, he will give your options. Many collectors like the patina.

Although the sentimental value of that knife is immeasurable, the monetary value is very low, and collector value even lower (thanks to the broken blade). I say this based on a few similar Imperial knives currently for sale (if not the same model).

These knives were mass-produced, in the US (lots of them in the country), and were very inexpensive to begin with.

Also, the guy that comes to mind for repair work on such knives charges $90 an hour, which is several times what a two-bladed Imperial like the OP's is worth. Any blade replacement might be cost-prohibitive.
