I've narrowed down what knife i want to the military, manix, and the chinook II. Now i can't decide which one to get. Out of those 3 which one do you guys and gals like best?

You really have narrowed it down, this is a tough choice for anyone! If you are looking for the most heavy-duty out of the three, I would go with the Manix. If you want something a little lighter, Military. If you want scary, then the Chinook will do the job!

I have not handled a Manix, or a Chinook.

I have a Military that I like a lot.

Manix: good looking knife, and I like the fact that finally Spyderco's selling a lockback that can be user-disassembled. (That's a big factor for me.)

Chinook: I may like the knife a little, but the fact that it's riveted and can't be field stripped (see above) is a major drawback to me.

Military: The only one of the three that I do own, it's a great knife. Can't go wrong with the Military. But the downside is that it's considered a little big.

I'd flip a coin between the Military and the Manix. All you're deciding is which you'll be buying immediately: we all know that eventually you'll get yourself both. :D

If I have been a good enough boy this year, Santa just might have a Manix for me under the tree.

The Manix handle is a little wider than the Military one, which I like. Both blades are about the same length (Military is a tad logner, i think) but the Manix has a thicker, stronger blade. I have fallen out of love with liner locks, and the Manix with the 200 lbs per inch of blade length lock strength is mighty attractive!!

Overall the Manix and Chinook will be larger blades to pack around (heavier and wider) than a Military. If light and lots of cutting power is what you want, go Military. otherwise, my vote is Manix.

Just to let you know, I don't find folders of the Manix/Chinook variety to be heavy (some would say they are folding bricks!) I carry a Buck/Strider tanto right now, and it weighed over 7 ounces on my scale! When I do get to carry my own Manix, I'll actually be downsizing!

Me personally: Manix

I am a big fan of leaf shaped blades, and the Manix has incredible ergos, too. Erik really did this one right.

 I'll have to agree, the Manix, way HEAVY DUTY. Good Ergos.:)

I have handled both the military and manix and personally would go with the manix.

I have the 80mm Manix. It was love at first site and has been ever since. The Manix is one bad knife!! It is a solid folder.
