Need help

Is a craftsman 2x42 grinder worth the money .I have been given a $125 gift card to sears I never considered it until I got gift card.I am going to build nwg but it will take awhile before it happens. I would like any and all opinions thank you

I'm just starting out, so my comments won't mean much, but I think it works fine for learning. I've seen many makers on here who produce work far superior to mine that are still using the 2X42. This is my 5th knife, and the first I freehanded on the 2X42, the previous 4 were done with a file and jig.
