I have been wanting to edc a flashlight for awhile now, but can't find a decent Pen style light that will comfortably fit in my pocket. I'm looking for something with a small diameter. So that leaves me with AAA or even AAAA options for batteries. Length isn't an issue . Would like it to have a pocket clip but it's not a deal break. LED is also preferred with at lest 30 lumens of power. Thanks for taking the time to look and thanks in advanced for the help.

I just ordered a Fenix E05. I've been carrying an E01 but it's not bright enough to meet your requirements. It works for me though.
The E05 is 27 lumens so it's close.

I edc a Streamlight MicroStream, 28 lumens and runs on one AA battery. It has a unique dual pocket clip that allows different styles of carry. They run somewhere around $20.

There's a bunch of AAA powered lights in the 50-200 lumen range these days. Off the top of my head check out the 4sevens Preons, 70lumens with 1xAAA, 160 in the 2xAAA body. Pretty much any super compact AAA light will be floody compared to a larger one, so the beam won't look as bright as say a surefire cr123 light of similar output. I like floody lights better anyways, they tend to be more useful around the house and working on equipment within arms reach.

Streamlight MicroStream or the stylus pro both small and thin and light weight

Olight i3. 2.5, 20 and 70 lumens from a AAA for about $20. And a decent clip that is removable.

HTH,
Dave

Streamlight microstream here..one AAA battery. Been carrying one about 2 months now and love it. Had the AAAA streamlight (stylus?)..But the AAAA battries are to hard for me to find. Again really liking the microstream!

I'll second on the streamlight microstream, great little flashlight and a great price. I love mine!

Or like previously mentioned the Preon would be a great choice as well!
