most 29knives balisong have 'Flip marks'

dew to thick blade

i have to remove some flip marks

by using sand paper (sanding all over)

400grits is my choice

after sanding what should i do??

any special tips

and will it damage the heat treatment by sanding off the marks??(by hand)

Pictures would help but 400 grit is going to leave its own scratches, that then must be removed with 600 grit. The 600 grit scratches will have to be removed with 1000 grit - how shiny is the knife now and how shiny do you want it to be? And will the scratches return the next time you flip the knife?

Hello ! Thanks for the reply it is hard for me to upload the image.
I started with 800 then i used 1000 grits i used waterproof
I didnt fipped yet but i think the scratch will comeback
Like 400grits will it hold the satin from scratches?
After sanding it what should i do?

Most of it did removed but it kind are shine polished
I dont want shines should i use 400 or 600 again for satin finish?
