Hi folks,

My pistol permit came in last week! Also, a 4 5/8 3 screw 357 Blackhawk came in the shop the same day. It's owner wanted me to have it in return for future engraving considerations! It topples bowling pins at 100 yards!! :D

Any advice on a carry holster for this nice handgun? ( it does have the transfer bar conversion in place already.)I know, a bit big for deep carry, but it, and a Tokarev are the only handguns in the stable right now.

Tokarev is nice and slim. Any leather ideas for those?

BTW, kidney stone is still in the system, but no pain to speak of in over a week. Its about 1/3 the way down towards the bladder. More x rays on Friday.

A lot of blessings lately, so maybe things are turning around. In any case, I always get better than I deserve!

Talk to you soon,

Tom

PS thanks for all the prayers!

Heya Tom,
Glad to hear there is progress with your calcium hitchiker.

Take a look at the holsters from El Paso Saddlery.
They have modern and historical holsters for "smokewagons" in several styles.
I have one for my CZ 75's, the "high slide". Nice quality, excellent workmanship.
The prices arent through the roof, but they aint cheap either.

I am also a big fan of F.I.S.T. holsters, I own them for several of my other weapons.
The #14 is my favorite for semi-autos.

I hope you find one you like.

I relied upon a slightly bigger Blackhawk frame for years and never felt unprepared; a 4 5/8" 45 Colt.

My first handgun was a 7 1/2" Bisley 41 mag.

Good for you and good for single actions. You have a cult gun in the old three screw.

Graver,
Most custom places will do ya a decent highride belt holster for the Ruger or the Tokarev

if I had a pattern i would gladly do ya one, but I dont carry those

Good luck!

Thanks guys,

I found an inside the pants clip holster for the Tok. When it comes in, I'll let you know how it works. The link above for the Ruger looks promising too.

Take care,

Tom
