I really like this axe so far, especially for the price.
The only thing I dont like is after a bit of heaving using and sweating the handle gets kinda slick.
I was going to hit it up with a bit of heavy sandpaper to see if that helped.
If not I was thinking of wraping it in some kind of griptape. Perhaps like hockey stick tape or something.

Anyideas?
Thanks
Jed

Perhaps leather work gloves or ones with the rubber "dots" or nobbies. Personally, I'd try other ideas before going the sandpaper route. You're permanently altering the handle, & you may not like the results. Then you gotta undo what ya did. :D Just my $.02.

I've heard of people using hockey stick or tennis racket tape, skateboard tape (which seems a little too rough to me) and if they stretch enough the nicest is golf club sleeves - they're rubberized, allow for shock absorbency and cleanable.

i taped off what I didnt want to get gripped, and took mine on a wire wheel. so I have a uniformly roughed up surface, about one inch up from the bottom, for about one hands width. Its clean, neat, and does the trick. Remember, its plastic. If you dont like it, you can buff it out again. Personally, I think you will. It looks fine, and does the job.
