the only reason i have this in the GKD is because i need some ideas for a friends wedding rings.

Quick background
I do a lot of wood work and 1 of my specialties was wooden rings. A dear and close friend of mine, ex GF, came to me about an hour ago asking me personally to make a set of wedding bands for her and her fiance! When we were together i would make them for here from time to time, especially when we would go camping..... ya sappy i know

her only request is that they have some interweaving design and the rings have a shadowing images, like one has a key in the weaving and the other has an opening for the key to into, but i has to be subtle

PLEASE NEED IDEAS

What has this to do with "General KNIFE Discussion"?
General knife discussion is not an all purpose forum and staff is not your personal moving service.
Believe it or not, there is an infraction for "posted in the wrong forum".

Gadgets and Gear is a good place for this. Also, I would think a knifemakers area for forging would be aproprite.

Have you looked into some of the Celtic designs? A Celtic weave would look nice IMHO.

The quickest idea I had was if she's an ex, wtf is she wanting you to make her a ring for unless it's out of spite. All my exes are that for a reason.

I had to leave the states for a few years unannounced, & we both moved on thats all, she is still a friend
