need imput on Emerson CQC12 Titanium Finish

Hey guys I need some help. I have an Emerson HD-7 with the G10 on one side and the Ti frame lock on the other. I recently purchased a CQC-12 G10/Ti for my dad and the Ti frame lock is rather "raw" looking. The Ti on my HD-7 is bead blasted giving it a textured look and feel, the Ti on my dad's CQC-12 is rather raw looking, definately not bead blasted. Did I get ripped off? I thought the Ti would be bead blasted? Did I end up with a factory second or something? The knife was advertised as NIB, and at the price, $270, I would have thought it would be the bead blasted finish of my HD-7. Looking forward to your input. I can post pictures if needed.

CQC-12's titanium frame are not bead blasted but only stone wash. It look strengther than other knives, more shiny, but I like it. It's hard to scrash and easy to maintain.

IIRC the 1st 100 or so CQC12's had the BB finish so some did have it, mine has the stone wash finish and its number 0104, i like the BB better but the SW does wear well.

but, irregardless, the SW finish is how they all come now FWIW.

No, you didn't get ripped off. Paragon Sporting Goods in NYC has that model for sale. I almost bought it.... But I can't have part of a shiny handle scale exposed when carrying the knife.

Guess I'll have to stick with my Mini-Commander for now.
