I have a Kessler knife that I bought back in 1992 in Boston. I am not sure what the model is - it looks like a Japanese Small Katana. Its apprx 9 inches in length and has a brown boot sheath. Does anyone know anything about this knife and how much it's worth ? Any info I can get is appreciated. Thanks.

You can't ask for information regarding value or prices without a gold membership, and without more details and pictures, it's unlikely anyone will be able to help you further identify the knife you have.

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. I use Imgur, but there are others. Once you have uploaded a picture, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Paste the picture address into the resulting popup. Then click the INSERT button.

Cheers on the feedback on how to post a photo - I have now. I am looking for some information type, model, anything on this Kessler.

I can tell you this it's pretty frigg'n sweet if you ask me. I'd make it a nice carry piece myself, nice score Congrats.
Thanks - appreciate it! It looks pretty f awesome. The blade has not changed a bit since I bought it. You can tell it's amazing craftsmanship.

Your Bill Kessler knife is commonly called a "Tanto" (short sword-literally). The smallest of these were called Kwaiken (Pronounced Kaiken). The chiseled tip (like a Katana) tanto blade has come to be called an "American Tanto", made pretty famous in the U.S. in the 1980s. This is because most traditional Tantos of Japan were not so chiseled at the tip.

Just wanted to say that this is a Ralph Kessler knife, not Bill Kessler. I have this exact knife. It was my grandfather's, and was given to me after he passed away. It is a Tanto style knife, and was made in the early 1980s, according to Mr. Kessler himself-I searched for him and messaged him to tell him how beautiful I think it is. He can be found on Instagram. The number on my knife is 330. Yours?
