Need info on a Mini Reflex Auto Red limited edition

I just traded for this knife and would like to know if anyone here knows anything about this. It is a 2550 Mini Reflex but is red and appears to have been one of only 25 made. It is dated Dec. 2001 on the blade. I didn't know that Benchmade did "sprint runs" so I am curious about the history of this knife. Could this have been a "forum knife"? Does anyone know? Thanks!

In any case it is a sweet little knife and I'd love to carry it but won't because of its rarity. I may have to pick up a regular 2550 for EDC.
