Hey guys, I could use a little info from those of you who know a lot more about the Busse line than I do. Later this evening I will be going to look at what is supposed to be a MINT condition, "older" model straight handled, clip point Battle Mistress. The knife is also supposed to say "INFI" on the top of the tang in the mid section of the handle area as well as have some little symbols of some kind next to the word "INFI".

I do not have any pictures of the knife, and I may not have a chance to take pictures and post them here before having to make my decision as to whether or not to purchase the knife.

If any of you can tell me anything about this particular model I would appreciate it. Were them lots of them made? Are they very desireable, or are they no more valueable than a new Mistress? ?????

Are there any special features I should be looking for on this particular blade?

Thanks guys!

Okay guys, a little guidance as to how rare and desirable it is in dollar figures$$$$$. He ain't giving it away.

If it's under $1800....buy it :p if not...then it's a crap shoot. Sounds like a hell of a find though!!! We fully expect pictures to drool over once you have it!

Where the hell do all you people live, that there is just old infi lying in homes gathering dust, or in pawn shops, or at gun shows. I have never in my life seen another piece of besides the stuff I own (none of which are super under priced oldies).

I will say it again, I must need to move.

Oh, and please post pictures once you get her home!

Man, even if they found trees that grow SHBM's I still wouldn't move to a land locked state, the east coast, or the south :p Cali is made of INFI. And cash absorbing soil :D I haven't seen any INFI out here shy of a SHBM that was found at the swap meet a while back  now THAT was a find!!! Too bad I didn't nab it!

No kidding!! I can't find diddly around here!!!!!!

ARRGHHHH!!!! I am a registered user!!!!!!

Look for a tiny number stamped into the blade.

Look for angle grinds on the front clip that sort of look to be a false sharpening of the top.

If you find these things, it is a better thing.

I have one of those, but my camera is broke.

I'll consider all reasonable offers, and since I'm buying a house, some unreasonable offers too.

thanks for looking
