Need Info On Gerber Sharpeners

FRIEND OFFERED ME A GOOD DEAL ON 2 NIB GERBER SHARPENING STEELS,IN LEATHER CASE(THEY FOLD OUT)LOOK LIKE PRYBARS,BEEN AWAY FROM KNIFES FOR AWHILE ARE THESE ANY GOOD,THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY ASSISTANCE.

My ancient Gerber steel (probably pre-foldout) came in a leather sheath, looked like a small prybar with a hole and leather loop, and was just that: a steel, to "align" the edge... no imbedded diamond dust, carbide, etc to actually cut away steel from a blade.
The Gerber I currently carry is mre related to the Eze-Lap sharpener with the brass case/handle.... with important differences:
 
Sorry... I hit some wrong button on this Devil's Box and had a "premature posting" (!)
Anyway the new Gerber sharpening rod is ligkt to carry, is cheaper that the Eze-Lap, has more "bite to the diamond surface, has a pocket clip, etc.
