need info on MOP scales for delica 2

I received a delica 2 w/MOP scales in a trade a while back and am wondering if anyone can give me some info regarding the scales. The scales seem to be an afterthought(or an accessory added later), but I am not sure. The only info I have found is from a listing on the bay which states that the scales were made for a 90s era delica 2. I've added a pic from the listing(hope that's ok. If not I'll pull the pic down).

They are definitely aftermarket scales and were either commissioned or installed by one particular dealer. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that the dealer responsible for them was Cutlery Shoppe.
