I really like the knife that Rambo has in the second movie. I was wondering where I could get one like it. Did a custom maker make the knives for those movies? If so and you know who he was can you please let me know. If you have no clue who made the knives for the movies but you know of someone who can make one for me please let me know. Thanks.

Hi John,

Have you thought about Chris Reeve, or Randall? They both make excellent Hollow Handled knives:).

Hi Bob,

No I'm not really looking for a hollow handled knife I just really likt the movies and that particular knife. Thanks.

Oops, we posted at the same time. I was going to Reccommend another hollow handled knife, but never mind. :)

John, there are quite a few of Rambo knives around. Some are not of the best quality of course. What is the price range that you are looking for, and what's the quality that you are looking for? I mean are you looking for something that you can put on your wall and never use, or you want a real combat performance blade?

If I were to get one I wanted it to be from the original maker. Little did I know that it cost that much. If I were really looking for a good hollow handle to actually use I would get a Chris Reeve. Thanks anyway guys.

I may be mistaken but I thought that the knives for the second and third Rambo movies were made by Gil Hibben. I'm certain he made the knife for Rambo III and pretty sure he did R II also.

The Rambo II movie knives had the black coating on the flats. To my knowledge there were 9 made.

After that, there were 100 serial numbered knives made that also had the black flat and polished edges.

All the remaining knives had a non black finish.

The ones with the . above Lile were made after Jimmy passed away. These are the ones that are currently being sold from Lile knives.

The serial numbered Rambo II knives sell around the $2,000 range (+/- $100).

Ive only seen 3 of the black ones for sale. I have one in my collection.

It is my favorite movie knife. "What brings you luck Rambo...."This I guess (as he holds up the knife)". That still sends a chill down my spine every time I see Rambo II.
