I don't know if this is the proper forum for this or not, so I aplogize in advance if it isn't. I have a couple of "Cutlery Shoppe" specials I bought years ago & would like to know what they are worth. The first is a Gerber MKII with "cat's tongue" grip with the 5 deg. cant and a kydex sheath with Bianchi clip. The second is a Cold Steel Tanto with "subdued" blade & brass fittings. The Tanto was billed as the "Recon Tanto" (no not the Recon Tanto they market now). Had them so long I can't remember what I paid. Any help appreciated.
Thanx,

I remember both those knives, and wish I had bought them when I had the chance.

The Mk. II you have comes up for sale so infrequently that it is hard to guess at a value. A regular Mk. II in mint condition from that same era is probably worth $100 - $125, so yours would likely be worth much more.

As for the CS, I've seen those up on Ebay once in a while, but they don't seem to be very popular. I've seen nice ones go for $50 - $60, so you may just make back your investment on that one.

Of course, as always when selling rare or hard to find items, you just have to find that one guy who's willing to pay anything to get what you have. Good luck, and please let me know if you wish to sell either of them.

We have got some vintage Gerber Mark II's on the site from a collectors trade in. They are such a tough knife. I'll bet there are a million stories from Vietnam and these knives. They are really sharp looking(no oun intended). Paul
